I’m going to include my collection of short stories, mostly recollections. I seem to be experiencing these more frequently of late.

Although I was born in Bolton, the family moved to Thornton-Cleveleys on the Fylde Coast when I was 3 years old. I attended primary, grammar school then college before joining to Army. I did return for a while before accepting a position in London and from there I contracted in Kuwait for a short time before heading south to Cape Town. I wanted to get away – I don’t think it was anything about Thornton, it was some drive of mine to get away and experience other places.

Since returning to England in 2014 we did spend some time living on the Fylde Coast before moving inland to the village of Slaidburn. I am fairly resigned to the fact that I am here to stay.

Being away for most of my adult life means I have very few connections to my past, but I do have some vivid recollections and I am making a concerted effort to recall and document them here.
